Refinancing
refinancing is the paying back some or all of the loan capital by a company and obtaining fresh loans, usually at a more favourable rate of interest.
Regional Stock Exchanges Exchanges
it is in the regional financial centres apart from the main stock exchange. Thus the principal exchange in India is the Bombay Stock Exchange; all the others are regional.
Registered Folio Number
it is tthe page number on the REGISTER which records the details of an individual’s shareholding. it is mandatory to mentioned this number in all correspondence with the company, and on share transfer deeds. The Registered Folio Number changes with each change in the ownership of shares.
Registered Office
it is the official Official address of a company, to which all correspondence can be sent. The letterhead must contain the address, any change in which must be notified to the Registrar of Companies and Published in the official bulletin of the stock exchange.
Registrar of Companies
An official appointed by the Government of India to scrutinize the “Memorandum of Association’, and the “Articles of Association’ which the promoters of a company draft and submit to him. If he finds these in order, he will give his approval to the formation of the company through a “Certificate of Incorporation’.
Reinvestment Plan
The dividend earned by a shareholder used, after deductions of tax, to buy more shares to put into the investor’s kitty.This plan is usually offered by mutual funds, although at the moment only the Unit Trust offers such plans.
Renounceable Documents
Documents which provide temporary ownership until they are renounced in favour of someone else. such as offer document of rights. The offer can be partly or fully renounced, in which case another person becomes entitled to apply for the shares.
Renunciation
Giving up the right to subscribe to allotted shares in a RIGHTS ISSUE or selling such rights for a consideration. A shareholder who does that is the renouncer,and the person who has got the rights from him is the renounce. Prices of renounced rights are sometimes quoted on the stock exchange. Even with the price of renunciation added, such rights shares are usually cheaper than their ruling market price.
